Hagai Kerner

Hagai Kerner joined the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research in October 2024, and currently serves as a researcher on the Society and Populations team and as the team coordinator.

Hagai holds a Master’s degree with honors in Sociology and Anthropology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2025). As part of his studies, his research focused on Jerusalem localism, LGBTQ+ culture, and the connection between community and space. Additionally, Hagai holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Sociology and Anthropology and Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, both from the Hebrew University (2023).

Prior to joining the institute, he worked as a researcher and consultant on a variety of topics across various frameworks, including business and security intelligence.
