Deputy Director General of Planning and Coordination

David Cana worked as the Deputy Director of Planning and Coordination at the Institute since January 2023 up the end of the year. David’s responsibility was to build budgets and develop strategies, as well as to plan and coordinate the institute’s work and manpower management.

In addition to his work at the institute, David is also the financial manager of the “Shachen Tov” association and a member of the executive committee. Shachen Tov association works to promote disadvantaged populations in society as well as strengthening solidarity and creating spaces for better neighbors. This is done with an emphasis on local and community activities. The organization distributes food baskets, runs youth clubs, and operates mobile cafes. Non-paid volunteers carry out all activities of the association.

Formerly, David served as the “Snunit” Association’s VP of Finance and Human Resources. The Sanonit Association promotes computerized education in Israel by integrating technology into teaching, learning, and assessment. It specializes in developing computerized educational content products for the education system and leisure time.

David is an accountant and holds a B.A. in accounting and information systems from the Lev Academic Center.
