Representative of the Jerusalem Municipality addresses the Jerusalem Institute staff

The Jerusalem Institute hosted Roy Folkman, policy advisor to the mayor at the municipality of Jerusalem. On May 2^nd 2011, Mr. Folkman held a presentation for all of the Institute staff on the municipality’s main work plan for 2011. He presented the main goal as the improvement of the connection between the managerial activities in the municipality and the overall city policy. The two main tools used and presented to achieve this goal are: The Work Plan Book and The City Performance Report. These tools are used for the enhancement of education, culture, community and general operation. The general urban policy was discussed, including the topics that lack a clear policy due to missing data and funding. Assistance from the Jerusalem Institute was requested through provision of data and agenda setting to advance policies that require development.
