Ben Avrahami

In recent years Ben Avrahami was advisor to the Mayor of Jerusalem for East Jerusalem affairs. As part of this role, he played an active part in implementing municipal policy in East Jerusalem’s neighbourhoods, and led a series of strategic research and planning processes, while working hand-in-hand with civic society representatives from East Jerusalem.

Ben currently acts as an advisor specializing in communication and public participation regarding Arabic-speaking communities in Israel and abroad, and is active in promoting dialog between various communities and groups in Israeli society.

In 2019 Ben joined the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research as a Research Associate and has since focused on researching social and cultural aspects of East Jerusalem’s communities.
