Research Assistant and East Jerusalem Community Relations

Liana Nabeel is a research assistant in the society and is responsible for the institute’s community relations in East Jerusalem. Liana’s experience of community work in East Jerusalem is extensive. She contributes this experience to the Institute’s public participation processes related to resolution 3791 construction.

Before joining the Institute, Liana managed programs regarding sustainability and community issues, as well as developing environmental leadership infrastructure in East Jerusalem on behalf of the Jerusalem Municipality and the Ministry of Environmental Protection following Government Resolution 2684.

Liana has worked for over a decade in community development and cultural management in Arab society, including guiding and mediating groups. She was a central factor in the development and implementation of community and cultural development plans and accompanied social initiatives in East Jerusalem. Her experience includes working with government officials, key personnel, and processes that have broad and long-term impacts.

Liana is the founder of the Kayani Association for personal and social empowerment and sustainability for the Arab population in East Jerusalem.

Liana has a bachelor’s degree in education from Bethlehem University and a master’s degree as an organizational consultant in educational and business institutions from Ono Academic College. She is also certified to guide groups on behalf of a Zippori center.
