The Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies recently hosted a conference on the topic of: “Indicators for assessing the state of a local authority”.
At the conference, heads of authorities, CEOs, strategic unit directors and senior government officials were presented with the knowledge that was accumulated up until now in Israel and abroad, followed by a joint enriching discussion on measuring and assessing local authorities.
In preparation for the conference a paper was published by JIIS researchers Israel Kimhi, Dr. Maya Choshen and Yair Assaf-Shapira. The paper describes the different approaches to preparing the indicators, important characteristics, including many examples, and references to relevant sources.
