On Thursday, March 1st, the Jerusalem Institute hosted HE Chritsophe Bigot, French Ambassador to Israel. The Ambassador was greeted with presentations on matters of policy, politics, demographics and geography pertaining to Jerusalem.
The meeting developed into an interesting discussion between the Ambassador and the Institute researchers on a broad range of topics including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and possible solution for the advancement of negotiations, geographical and demographic solutions for Jerusalem and their influence on the future of the city, conclusions and insights regarding past negotiations on Jerusalem and creative solutions relating to the issue. The matter of the status of Christians in Jerusalem was also raised in relation to a forthcoming publication on the topic.
