    Tami Gavrieli is a senior urban planner, experienced in urban and strategic planning. She is the founder and was the director of the Strategic Planning Unit in Tel Aviv- Yafo Municipality until May 2013. In this capacity she headed the preparation of the Strategic Plan for the city of Tel Aviv (2005) and its implementation, while emphasizing the promotion of multi-disciplinary planning aspects and sustainable development in the urban space. She directed several multi-disciplinary masterplans such as the plan for bicycle paths in Tel Aviv, the masterplan for open areas in Tel Aviv, education masterplans, community services plan, and others.

    As a senior researcher at the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, Gavrieli directed the ‘Urban Sustainability Project’, which formulated a policy to promote a sustainable way of life in the urban space. She was the head of the ‘Sharon Authorities Sustainable Transportation’ Project, which is being carried out in cooperation with third sector organizations and academia, and she was involved in the ‘Quality of Life in Jerusalem’ project and the ‘Gov.City’ project.

    In addition, Tami is an urban planner and a planning and strategy consultant. She works with government ministries and local authorities to prepare masterplans and city strategic plans. Since June 2018, Tami has been serving as a joint director of the ‘Israeli Planners Association’, which represents the urban planners and professions in Israel.
